Castile soap is an amazingly versatile vegetable-based soap free of animal fats and synthetic ingredients. This soap is made with olive, coconut, castor , hemp, jojoba and palm oil.  These oils give the soap its lathering, moisturising, and cleansing properties.

The soap can be customised by way of addition of essential oils /fragrances (upto 3%) and extracts (upto 5%) of choice.

It is not only an environment friendly soap but also incredibly useful and effective for many purposes as detailed below

1.     Face Wash – 2-3 drops on Wet Hands

2.     Body Wash – Small squirt of soap on Wet Sponge/Washcloth

3.     Shampoo – A couple drops for close-cropped hair or up to ½ Tbsp. (7.5 mL) for long hair, either worked directly into very wet hair or pre-diluted in a cup of water.

4.     Shaving – 10 drops. Work to a lather in wet hands and then apply to area.

5.     Teeth Cleanser – 1 drop on a toothbrush (Do not ingest, it tastes like soap).

6.     Makeup Remover – Wet face and lather several drops of soap into hands. Massage into skin. Rinse.

7.     Fruit and Vegetable Rinse – Dilute upto 4-5 times to thin liquid consistency. Rinse and wash vegetables with plain water thereafter

8.     Dishwasher  Soap – Dilute upto 6-7 times

9.     Laundry Soap –  Use 80-120 mL soap for a large load in washing machine. Can add 200 – 250 ml vinegar and for whitening,  upto 120 gm of baking soda.

10. Window Cleaner – Dilute upto 4-7 times to reach thin, sprayable consistency. Put the soap in a spray bottle and use as window cleaner

11. All-purpose Household Cleaner – Dilute upto 4-7 times to reach thin, sprayable consistency. Put the soap in a spray bottle and use as surface cleaner

Note: You should add preservatives to the soap if diluting with water and storing for longer usage of more than a few days.
