Camellia oil contains unsaturated fatty acids, mainly oleic acid. In comparison with other plant oils Camellia oil contains less saturated fatty acids. As secondary plant compounds you will find natural Vitamin E (tocopherol 60 mg/kg) and sesamin (300–500 mg/kg), a ligan, with anti-oxidative influence on the body and skin topically used. Internally used these compounds are effective as fat reducing agent and they impact the cholesterin level in a positive manner. The content of Oleic acid (C18:1) is definitely higher in Camellia oil.
